I think Filip had a good attitude with the last movie ~~ "...film that was a hit, was perhaps more of an action movie, but also well thought out enough that it holds up to the rest of Star Trek, brought new people into the fanbase... I just don't see the negatives."

Yes, true, the movie had so many holes from the actual series that it can be joked about. I even heard that a few of the main characters never even watched any of the old series! ...But with that said, it's still fresh and new Star Trek. I enjoyed the excitement of going to the theater to watch a new Trek movie.

I'll have to admit, at the time I was watching a lot of the 'Heroes' show, so it was hard for me to get used to him playing Spock, but after ten minutes I got so involved in the action that I forgot all about that.
