IMPORTANT CHANGE!
Just wanted to make a quick note about a slight change we're making to the contest. Starting with this round (July 2011) you will not be required to follow guidelines for any particular type of essay.

We're trying to simplify things, so it's a straight nonfiction writing challenge. Feel free to write an essay of any kind you want; from this round moving forward, we'll post a prompt for which you can write any kind of essay, editorial, article, etc. that you wish... just so long as it's NONFICTION. *Smile*
