Misunderstanding

'How dare you treat me like that?' Jane stormed in.
'So, you finally became aware of it. I'm sorry' Harry replied in a low voice.
'Everyone is aware of your crime and "sorry" won't make things right.' Inspector announced sternly.
'Jane! you dragged police in such a minor matter?!' Harry exclaimed in surprise.
'I haven't called police and your affair with another woman is no minor matter.' Jane yelled, almost in tears.
'Affair! What Affair! I don't have any affair!' Harry gasped.
'But you did and you murdered your girlfriend yesterday.' Inspector growled.
'Girlfriend! The only woman I've met since a week, other than my wife, is my cousin and she is preparing tea for us in the kitchen.' Harry explained.
'She's your cousin! Well... why were you apologizing then?' his wife inquired embarrassingly.
'I thought you found out about those hundred bucks that I stole from your purse.' Harry giggled.
'What! No murder! then how... Oh! I got into wrong apartment.' Inspector grinned.
