American Civil War Contest

This is a favorite story of mine. So rarely do I find contests on Civil War material, that I am honored to submit in this one. However, I have doubts as to whether or not this story qualifies. I am sure the subject matter does, but there are some technical issues. The rules say nothing about this having to be a new story or if previously awarded stories may be submitted. This story is not a new story and it has been previously awarded an awardicon. It has not received a merit badge, which I would accept if it qualifies and it is good enough to earn.

In any case, I would very much like to be included in the ranks of the other stories, even if any awards are withheld from it. Simply to be read with the others would be sufficient. Although, it would be interesting to know if it qualifies. Regardless, I am submitting it, because I like it and want to share it.
