Birthday wishes and words for Charlie

Charlie is a chap I know
Who writes much like a pro.
Of wordplay he is quite a master
But his life is sheer disaster.
I'm just kidding about that part
I'm sure he lives like life's an art --
The art of giving it a try...
With an eraser standing by.
Yes, this poem took forever
But better late than never.
You see, it took me quite a while
To think of what would make you smile.
I could be like Cinn and write,
"You know ", but that's...yeah...copyright.
So: love your poetry -- so skilled;
Love your attitude -- so chilled.
You're a friend I'm glad I found;
Kind and great to have around.
I'm wishing you the best today          (or yesterday)
And I have one last thing to say:
I'm still your number one fan.
