Welcome to WDC.

When it comes to writing poems of that kind of length, I tend to think of myths and legends.

You could write a poem based on the Minotaur, the founding of Rome, the story of Prometheus etc. Most myths and legends are developed enough for you write a poem of decent length.

I also see from your bio that you are Harry Potter fan - there is plenty of scope in the HP stories for a source of inspiration for your poem.
