Today's Memorial Day Service at the Averitt Center for the Arts in downtown Statesboro, Georgia has created so many emotions in me from sadness and grief to gratitude to pride and wonder at the lengths to which men and women will sacrifice themselves for the benefit of God, family and country.

This month's offering is a tribute to those who have died for the cause of Freedom. It is, also, a new poem format for me, which I have recreated into possibly a totally new way to use this classic poem style. I hope you will find it to be both classic and fresh in presentation.
