No I didn't even know you could set up with your phone.

This is a really problem. I've had a dozen people complain of the same problem since the mail update a few day ago. Just now I checked and had five email and no notification.

I have made no changes in any setting in months.

Maybe the update accidentally changed a setting. Is there a way to turn you notification bubble on and off?
