How are Portfolio items sorted?

I have a folder in my portfolio for stories <= 300 words, But there seems to be no rational to how the stories are listed there. For example, a story I created this morning is listed in the middle (and No, it's not in alphabetical order).

I know there's a 'Reorder' option under Portfolio, but why should I need to periodically manually reorder? I mean, there's a Created DateTime associated with each story, as well as a Modified DateTime. And, of course, a Title.

Is there a way that I've yet to learn to automatically maintain a sort protocol for my portfolio?

Thanks for any help with this.
