That's an interesting point, Gingerly.

I attend a local writers group. For the group, we tend to write poetry and flash fiction, since we have to read it out to the group at each meeting, and novels and even short stories wouldn't work. When I introduced myself to them, I described myself as a novelist, and I don't think I would ever describe myself as a writer.
