Get off my back monkey! You know I don’t have time for games right now. I’ve got to leave or I’ll be late for work.

Daddy, can we play a game when you get home tonight?

We’ll see Charles. It depends how late I get back and how tired I am.

But, you promised. You said we would have playtime today. That’s what you promised me yesterday. You know I don’t like it when you break a promise.

Charles’s dad opened the front door and said, I know Charles and I’m sorry, but I’ve really got to go.

No! Daddy.

Ten year old Charles was standing twenty feet away from the door when he slammed it shut using his mind.

Calm down, Charles.

Are we going to play Daddy?

Tom slowly set his briefcase down and said, of course. Whatever you want.

How about Cowboys and Indians Daddy?

That’s a good idea, but you be the Indian this time, and I’ll be the cowboy.

Go get your Indian outfit and we’ll meet in the backyard.

Tom sent an emergency text to work. They confirmed they understood, and they were sending help.

When Tom got to the backyard Charles was running around and hollering wildly. When he saw Tom come out the back door, he hid.

Tom tried to get as close as he could.

Then Charles playfully ran towards him. Tom waited until the last possible moment, then bang, Charles fell dead. Tom went over and kicked his motionless body.

Tom’s team arrived soon after. They carried Charles’s lifeless body away.

Tom’s boss put his hand on Tom’s shoulder and said, no more field experiments for a while. You’ll have to do your beta testing in the lab.
