So, there you have it. We need to go no further. Everyone to the axe who doesn't measure up. I'm just kidding, but we must agree to disagree. I agree that there exists a wide gulf between being mean and constructive. However, some of those mean people think they are preparing writers for the cut-throat world of writing. But my experience has shown me that some of those tell-it-like-it-is reviewers have little idea correct reviewing. They're just throwing out opinions with no regard for those on the receiving end.

The subject of reviewing will always be a contentious one. I read every word you wrote, and I commend you for being so diligent in your response. On the other hand, if the writing world demanded the perfection of which you spoke, no one would have a chance in hell of getting published.
