Crossing Over in to Heaven, A journey

Grandfather Fralix, your death was expected though still tragic because you left us.
Your life of more than 60 years was filled with excitement.
You were the father of five daughters, each unique in their own way.
Not to mention your countless grandkids, me included.
You loved old cars like the Model T and the Model A.
Black and White Westerns were your chosen sound tracked for napping.
And fireballs and tootsie pops, you always had in stock.
Though it’s been several years now since you went to be with Jesus,
There are two things I will always remember of you.
Your love for God is the first, because of that old piano.
You would be happy to know that I kept it after you died though everyone else wanted to get rid of it. Though I have still yet to learn to play it as well as you, I can still here you singing old hymns.
Finally, before you passed on in to eternity, you wrote a note for my sister and I.
The exact wording, I can’t remember though I have it stashed away somewhere.
But you will be proud to know that I have followed through with your last request of me.
I followed God and He led to to China of all places.
I am still here doing His work when the opportunity is presented.
I love you, Grandfather.
I miss you but I know that you are happier in the presence of God and that makes me happy too.
