Regarding pictures in your items not printing --
You have no Image items in your port. Either you removed the Image items or you're talking about Cover images.

I just tested it and when using Chrome, the system is working fine to include Cover images in a printout.

Have you tried using the Chrome browser to print your items instead of using the Edge browser you're currently using?

If that doesn't solve the problem, then try this -- get someone on the premises who is computer literate to help you if necessary:
Log out of Writing.Com.
Clear the browser cache.
Close all browser windows.
Start the browser again.
Log back in to Writing.Com.

=============END of Discussion about Printing Images Problem==============

About the Book item now --

You do not change it to a Book item from a Static item. Your item IS already a Book item. It was created as a Book item in the first place. The point is that Book items are not the same as Static items.

To FIX your Book Item, follow these step-by-step directions:

Make sure you have a current copy of your story on YOUR COMPUTER. If you don't, make one.

View the Book item.
Right click the Add an Entry button to open a create entry form in a new tab.

Go back to the Book tab.
Click the gear icon for the Book item to open the Item Tools menu. Click on Edit Item.

You should now have at least two tabs open: the create entry form and the edit item form.

Scroll down to the Body text box (which contains your writing) of the Book item. Click in it. Click Ctrl-a to select (highlight) ALL OF THE TEXT in the Body text box. Click Ctrl-c to copy ALL OF THE TEXT in the Body text box.

Switch to the create entry form in the other tab.
Find the Body text box of the new entry.
Click in it and click Ctrl-v to paste ALL OF THE TEXT from the Book item into the entry.
Type a title in the Title text box for the entry.
Scroll down and click on Save entry.

When the page reloads, find the new entry in the list at the very bottom of the Book item. Click on the entry to open it.
Make sure ALL THE TEXT of the story is there. If so, continue --
Click on the gear icon at the upper right of the entry to open the Entry Tools menu. Click on Word Count. Copy the information you want.

Click on the gear icon at the upper right of the entry to open the Entry Tools menu. Click on Edit Entry. Add the word count information. Scroll to the bottom and Save the edit.

Now, go back to the Edit page for the Book item.
If it's not still highlighted=select all text, do that part again.
Click the SPACE BAR to DELETE ALL THE TEXT (which is in the wrong place).
Replace the deleted text with something like this:
This is the story of the Bronco Busting Rooster.
Scroll down and Save the Edit.

Now when you view the Book item, you will see a little bit of text, followed by the list of all the entries in the Book item. When you click on an entry, you can view that part of the contents of the Book item.

Whenever you want to create a new Book item, please read this first: Create/Edit a Book from Writing.Com 101
Whenever you want to add an entry to a Book item, please read this first: Book Entries from Writing.Com 101

Hope that helps.
