A lot of people say there are only seven basic types of plots. If you google "types of plots", more are listed. Perhaps look at the plot ideas and see if one of them inspires you to write a story. Or create characters and perhaps one will inspire their own tale. In my opinion, it's pretty hard to force yourself to write a certain kind of story. Your imagination will guide you.
