Plot?
So, recently I've started to dabble a little in horror and have found that I enjoy it. A lot. Like, an insane amount. There's a certain poetic component in finding the right words to creep people out.

Now, while I have found recent enjoyment in writing horror, I do not like reading horror. I have , however, taken to reading some because no writer is a writer without reading, but since I'm new to this genre I don't know what to look for and I find myself bored with most horror writing I come across.

And my problem is, while I enjoy working with horror styles I cannot for the life of me be able to come up with horror plots. I can't even come up with bad horror plots. The things I read don't help either as I either run into plots that are boring and predictable or plots that are so specific that they don't really spur any inspiration for me.

So, I guess I'm just asking for any advice or suggestions on this, whether it be advice on what constitutes as good horror and how to find it or advice on how to do plot, or anything really. Again, I'm entirely new to this genre as I never thought I'd have an interest in it before, so I'm walking blind.
