You've been getting some error messages the last few days about invalid chapter additions. In other words, the chapters were not stored in the first place. Is that what you meant, rather than successfully created chapters that were deleted some time later on?

The first two errors look like someone else filled the spot you were writing for before you submitted your chapter. Adding chapters is first come, first served by submission time -- that's the nature of the thing.

This error might also come up if you double-clicked the submit and both requests went through -- the first one would be processed normally, the second one would get the error message. You could check your list of chapters to see if those chapters are there, or not. That's linked under My Account/Interactive Chapters.

The second two look like the chapter yours followed was deleted in the interval between opening the add a new chapter page and submitting it.

While that's entirely possible, this error was involved with a slightly different problem with iOS 7 and Mobile view some 4 years ago, but the Full Site view was not affected. Were you using an iOS device and Mobile view at the time?

It also sounds like the sort of thing that might happen if your session timed out while you were writing the chapter. Check the time/date on your computer to make sure it's accurate for your own time zone.

And the standard first response suggestions for when something is weird:
1. Clear browser cache. Shut down all browser windows. Reboot the browser.
2. Make sure your browser is up to date.
3. Try another browser.
4. Reboot your computer.


If you meant that successfully created chapters were deleted some time later on --

The owner of an interactive has the ability to delete content. You'd have to ask the owner for the reason.

That said, we've had posts recently from two owners who accidentally deleted a bunch of chapters they didn't intend to.
