Some people take college courses in writing in hopes it will make them brilliant writers. Others just sit down and write even though they may not have finished high school. I fit into that vast gray area in between the two. I have an associate degree but it isn't in creative writing; it's in sociology/social work. Most of what I have learned about the craft has come from high school classes. I've thought, off and on, about taking some college courses in writing but the money just can't be found.
About a week ago I found a place online that offered free courses in writing. I looked into it further and ended up signing up for a course even though I believe this school is in the UK. With me living in the US, I'm not sure if any of it is accredited, but I don't care. So far I feel I'm really learning.
