Noticing Newbies

Hello back at you!

I am rather new too . . . involved for about 1 1/2 months.

This community seems huge, and I'm just beginning to grasp the tip of the iceberg. A few have recommended going through "Writing.Com 101" which I bypasses at first, but I've make it a goal to get through the introduction/tutorial this holiday weekend.

I'm a retired teacher, and I'm writing from Colorado. And you? For more details, I'll refer you to my bio on my page.

The first items I joined in on have been the "Daily Flash Fiction Challenge" (with 2 winning submissions so far!) and just recently the "Short Shots" monthly contest. What items have you submitted/posted so far?
