Terminology --

Note that Your friend can read your items set to public (no restrictions) as a guest (no membership), but in order to post a review (feedback) for your item, they must sign up for an account. Guests cannot review.

With an Upgraded account, you can set a passkey for items that are not set to public, and send the URL and the passkey to a guest, and they will be able to access (read) your restricted items. Passkeys from Writing.Com 101
