The newbie tutorial Get Started With Your Account from Writing.Com 101  is linked as Get Started at the top right of every page in full-site view. The site handbook "Writing.Com 101"  is linked next to that, and also in the left navigation menu in the Writing.Com Tools submenu.

With a free membership, you can host ten Static items of up to 50KB in size. 20K words would probably fit in 3 Static items. You can get reviews on those over a period of time, delete them, and post others. "Compare Free and Paid Membership Benefits"
