So, recently I had someone ask me how to do time skips/jumps. Places in the story where you need to get from one scene to the next scene but the inbetween isn't important to the story beyond leading from the first scene to the second scene. When she asked this, I actually found I had no good answer as I recognized this as something I struggle with, and I don't think I realized that before she asked. The main trigger of writers block for me, I've come to realize, are major time jumps and trying to figure out how to get from point A to point B without damaging the flow of the story or making it feel choppy.
So, my question is the same as hers, how do you accomplish time jumps? Any tips, solutions, or methods?
