Articles, like stories, need to be structured. 1. Introduce the topic of the article 2. Introduce the premise - for example, if you're going to talk about scene structure, explain why it is important and how you are going to go about discussing it 3. bullet-point your way through the things you want the reader to consider, rather than rambling back and forward 4. Finish with a conclusion, pointers to other articles of interest and some food for thought 5. Follow up with a bibliography of articles/documents/books you have quoted or referenced in writing the article In the introduction, it is helpful to give a real-wold example so the reader can immediately relate.
