Once a folder is created, it appears as an option in the location drop-down menu in the create or edit page of all your other items. When you create a new item, or edit an existing one, you can move it into the folder by selecting the folder in the drop-down menu and saving. For existing items, there are two other methods. The Portfolio Organizer [Portfolio/Portfolio Organizer in the left nav menu] is a drag and drop pop-up window that allows you to move things around in your port. Click the ? button in the window to see the directions. Some people have needed to put one item in an empty folder using another method, before being able to move other items into it using this option. A folder is open when you drag an item to just beneath the folder, and the drop-box outline moves over (right) an indent. When you open a folder with items in it, the Organizer displays those items beneath the folder, indented once. When you open an empty folder, there are no items to add to the display. This option is also linked on your Portfolio page in the port management tools area. Click on the gear icon after the Portfolio header under your Highlighted Items header to open the tools area. Manage your portfolio items... Reorder · Move to Folder · Drag/Drop Organizer · Change Access · Delete Items The other option is to use the Move to Folder option in the port management tools area:. Directions are shown when you click on Move to Folder, and additional directions are given in "Portfolio" Tab from Writing.Com 101 (except for how to get the tool area open). Manage your portfolio items... Reorder · Move to Folder · Drag/Drop Organizer · Change Access · Delete Items Hope that helps.
