Of course sorry to hear of the problems...

There's been no changes to the email system in many years.

I've seen no case where email decides to delete itself and there is no provisions in the code for that... Deletion of email is a very separate part of the code.

While I certainly have to wonder if maybe in your frustration with the attachment, you didn't very accidentally click the wrong link or two... I understand you feel you did not intentionally delete the emails.

Surely all things and bugs are possible. I've noted your experience, and, should it happen again to someone else... maybe we'll have something to go on.
