The requirements for posting on the Contests page are documented in Community Activities from Writing.Com 101  in the section titled I want to promote a member-run event item. How do I decide whether to post it on the Contests or the Activities page?

If your item does not meet ALL of the requirements listed for posting on the Contests page, you must use the Activities page instead. No exceptions.
