Review Request: The Wayside (Chapter One)
I know that first chapters can make or break a novel. In the process of revising the existing 50k of this monster and continuing to write the rest of it, my vision has gotten blurry and I've started despising every other word of every sentence. If you have time, I'd love it if you'd eviscerate this first chapter.
