Everyone who had posted on this forum knows the pain of loss. Take the time to read some of them. I have found their stories to be inspiring in helping me deal with my own pain. It does not go away but it does get better with time.
As for going through a loved ones belongings, I know that pain all too well. Going through my father's belongings was heartbreaking. There are still a few things that belonged to him I dare not touch as I feel it would not be right.
Stay strong so you can be there when your friend needs you the most.
