Wow, congratulations on hitting 50K! *ConfettiR* *PartyHatR*

As for writing more or editing, I think it's a personal choice. I always need a break from a story before starting any real edits. I can do a simple review right after finishing, but need space to make true changes. Either way, enjoy the feeling of accomplishment.
