Hi Everyone,

We made it! As another NaNoWriMo comes to a close, it's time to announce some winners!

Team Standings

Let's do this in reverse order. Here's how things sorted out:

12th Place: The Pink Team with 63,984 words

11th Place: The Silver Team with 66,350 words

10th Place: The Brown Team with 70,191 words!

9th Place: The Blue Team with 105,021 words

8th Place: The Red Team with 106,127 words

And now for the podium finishes:

3rd Place. With a word count of 168,721 words, The Yellow Team finished with this year's bronze medal. This year matches their best finish ever!

2nd Place. With a word count of 174,023 words, The Orange Team secured the silver medal. After two 3rd Place finishes prior, this is the Orange Team's highest finishing position ever. Will next year be the year they finally get the coveted top spot?

1st Place. The Green Team with a word count of 202,054 words. This year isn't just the first time the Green Team has won the Write-A-Thon; it's also the first time they've finished in the Top 3! Welcome to the Winners' Circle, Green Team! *Delight*

Other Stats

*Bullet* 36 competing writers

*Bullet* 20 NaNo Winners (55.55% success rate)

*Bullet* 1,465,236 total words written

*Bullet* The official NaNo site seems to have either done away with or hidden the regional word counts so we unfortunately can't tell which areas of the world we out-wrote... but I'm sure there were some surprising ones we beat! *Bigsmile*

Funds

I'm proud to report that the Write-A-Thon's final take this year was:

4,960,558 Gift Points!

What this means:

*Bullet* Each 10% beneficiary of the activity will receive approximately 500,000 GPs!

*Bullet* Members of the winning Green Team will each receive approximately 85,000 GPs!

In Closing

Distribution of any remaining prizes will take place shortly. If you haven't received all of your prizes by December 15th, please feel free to follow up with me directly.

Thank you to everyone who made the "NaNoWriMo Write-A-Thon possible this year. We wouldn't be able to do this without generous sponsors, competitive writers, and the support and encouragement of other members of the site. It's amazing to see what this community can accomplish when we band together and work toward a common goal. Thanks for everything, and I'll see you all next year! *Smile*
