Besides what you've already done and what Angus mentioned, there are a few additional methods listed in Seeking Reviews from Writing.Com 101 . Since another person having time to do a review is unpredictable, making several review requests at once is probably a more effective use of your time. If they say no or don't review by the deadline, your GPs are returned in full, so it's low risk. It helps to actually include a working link when you post about an item, rather than just giving the item number. Most people use a b-item link, which is documented here WritingML Help for b-item. Thus, copying, pasting, and replacing the #s with your item number would look like this: {b-item:2209423} and produce a working link like this, which saves a lot of time for people who wish to view your item:
You can also increase your odds of having a particular item picked up via the random Read & Review system when you're "here," by setting all the other Static items in your port to Email Comments -- so the desired item is the only one available that fits the criteria the system uses. See Finding Items To Read from Writing.Com 101 . [Note that those with a colored portfolio would need to make sure they have at least 4 other rateable and visible items of other types so they don't lose their promotion.] Hope that helps.
