You might find what you're looking for on social media where these authors are marketing themselves and propping each other up. There are groups and circles and socialization among people engaged with the publication process and developing/maintaining their own brands. It's all aimed at getting the word out.

At my hobbyist level, we get people off the ground with their first novel. Encouragement, realistic expectations, and fulfillment of that dream. Sounds similar to the novel group others mentioned here. I'll be checking that out too.
