Some rough estimates and reference material for helping you decide which account to keep. Using a combination of methods will reduce costs. As long as you didn't retrieve the password or log in to your old account, you could probably wait until shortly before your current membership expires to make the switch to the old account, if you chose to keep the old one.

Merit Badges, Trinkets, port Awardicons, given reviews, email, interactive chapters, and site activity logs are tied to the account;
Item Awardicons and received reviews are tied to the item.

For information on archiving reviews before deleting items/accounts, see the pertinent section of "Invalid Post"  .

Trinkets that allow transfer can be moved for 1000 GPs each. Trinkets that are still available/collectible can be re-collected with the other account if you know where they can be collected. Dropping and re-collecting may net you the same serial number (or not, depending).

To delete the old account --
A] If transfering items:
1 month upgraded membership for unlocking items = cost: 99,500 GPs

between 123 and 132 items that could transfer if unlocked = cost: 132000 GPs
         Folder items can't be transferred.
         Reviews received and item awardicons transfer with the item.
Est. total cost = 231,500 = $23.15 USD
OR
B] If re-creating copies of items by hand:
131 items included in Portfolio Export if recreating = no fee.
         Folder and Message Forum items are not included in Port Export.
         Reviews received and item awardicons are lost.

To delete the new account --
New Upgraded membership for the old account: $49.95 USD
plus either
A] Between 15 and 17 items that could transfer = 17,000 GPs
         Folder items can't be transferred.
Current Upgraded membership, value of rem. time lost = 3.5 months about 145,000 GPs
Est. total cost = about 157,000 = $15.70 USD
OR
B] Recreate the items by hand = no fee.
Current Upgraded membership, value of rem. time lost = 3.5 months about 145,000 GPs
Est. total cost = about 145,000 = $14.50 USD
