Character Count V.S. Word Count - Why the former?
I am a personal fan of word count. I am continuously frustrated when I can't post something because it has "too many characters". For topic names and description boxes, I can understand. But for the daily challenges like Two-Word Tuesday and Three-Word Thursday, I want the ability to post my submission based on the word count. I feel I can write a stronger piece if I am focusing on how many words I am using instead of how many characters that fill my work.

Is there a reason why Writing.com bases their stuff around character count? If so, can someone help me understand it. I would be very appriecative ^_^
