I think I figured out what was happening finally. Thankfully, I have a little tech support background myself. So I went in cleared the cache, but that didn't work. Then I noticed a little text button on the edge of the browser search in safari. It was set to automatically bring up another view of the text for larger print. I was able to figure out how to turn that off, thank God, and went in to restore the review template. This time it worked.
