UPDATES: Goals Met--Mostly (09/17)
My goals for the week, and the results:

* Restore my backup laptop - Well, I moved it out of the way...but the day's not over and I might get to it yet!

* Get back copies of Woman's World at library and analyze the stories - Neither the library nor two local thrift stores have this magazine. I bought the latest at the supermarket. Completed a 700 word mini-mystery, needs polish, will submit next week

* Continue "How to Write" Lesson 5 (Write Thanksgiving romance) - Finished the story, submitted before deadline

* Due Sep 30 - WdC Genres contest - In progress

* Due Sep 30 - Bards Hall contest - Completed and submitted

"*Shock2*WINNER and NEW PROMPT, due 18-Sep-2021!"

Got a personal rejection email from Beneath Ceaseless Skies with a comment about why my story was not accepted--don't often get that.

Rejection is the stone on which a writer hones his craft.
