Do you mean the NaNo Counter on here? My understanding is you update it with the total yourself. I thought I remembered it automatically updating, but no. And I'm sure it doesn't add the small updates, unless there's some other way of doing that. I just click Edit and then put in my current total. However, if you mean the counter on the NaNo site, ignore all that (which you have already been forced to read). I used Scrivener and it automatically updated for me, so I don't know. But good luck figuring it all out! I'm sure by now, you know what's what.
