No it will not.
What I meant was a new linking tag that will not display awardicons but will display the cover.
For instance

I'd like it to appear just the cover and the details but not the awardicon using a new linking writingml.
Perhaps something like {pb-item:#######} (for plain big item) or {pc-item:#######} (for plain clean item).

I don't see anything that will affect contest host from distinguishing if the item is already awarded or not if they know how to use the appropriate linking writingml tag. They can always use the b-item tag in their contest pages.
