I just discovered something. If I clicked one time quickly on the "Like", it displays the little hand. If I am too slow, I lose that option and can choose any of the others using the two click process...
I will play with this a bit more but wanted to give you an update on the subject.
Right now, I am on my notebook. I am now going to try and like a post using my phone...

UPDATE: On my android, I had to use the desktop view but then it worked and I liked a post.
