We were handed an opportunity to edit someone's book but it's quite clearly a radical, vicious book on segregation, forced pregnancies, lack of rights, basically a "workbook" on how to bring about fascism in America.
It would probably sell quite well to the masses, maybe as an eye-opener if nothing else, and would probably be the talk of the town.
And they want to pay us a lot of money to edit it. =(
We're at a loss. We just know if we start reading this book, and going through word by word, it's going to stick in our minds forever. On the other hand, a job is a job, right?
We turned it down yesterday but he said if we change our minds, he really wants to work with us and is giving us the weekend.
As you all know, editing books requires careful study of the material. We have to go through each page and read each word, no matter what.
We're just simply sick deciding if we want to loosen our morals for a little money - like so many others do.
