I am getting a string of five-star ratings (accompanied by mediocre reviews) from someone who is obviously trying to harvest GPs. Is it best to just ignore the reviewer? Or block them? The reviews are short, but long enough to qualify their word count for some reviewing contest they're involved with. The reviews are also shallow and misinformed. The reviewer misunderstands the point or simple details in the story, and refuses to answer any questions about how I can improve the piece. I don't want to seem rude to this person, but I don't like being used- especially if I award them GPs for a string of basically crappy reviews. I know this happens a lot here at WDC, but I'm unsure what to do about the reviewer, aside from blocking them.
