Several Blogging Contests have fallen by the wayside, hopefully temporarily, mainly due to hosts and volunteers now lacking time to carry through. Coming up with prompts is usually not the problem, but administering and, especially, judging take time. If you're fine just blogging to prompts, maybe more blogging activities would come back.
