Bruce., As I read your post, my first reaction was to voice my preference for a book item. As a writer, I personally prefer the ease with which I can create an entry. As a reader, I like being able to go to the next entry/chapter with one click. Another benefit of a book item versus a folder is that a book with many chapters counts as one item in your Port. A folder and the chapters (as static items) each count as a separate item. If space in your Port is tight, a book item is the way to go. The advantages of having a folder with separate items for each chapter: The chapter reviews are stored separately whereas, although there are separate reviews for chapters in a book item, they are all stored together so you have to search through all the reviews if you want to reread a review for a particular chapter. The second thing, with a Premium membership, you can look back at all changes you make and even restore a previous version if you want. You can't do that with the entries in a book item... If you use a folder and separate items for each chapter, I suggest adding a link at the bottom of each item to take your readers easily to the next one. Those are my thoughts on the subject for now... ------ ruwth ~ ~ ~ JESUS is LORD! ~ ~ ~ |
