I keep setting elaborate goals for myself only to take forever to actually do them. This time, I'm heading back to basics. Every weekday, when I get home from work, I owe myself the following tasks:
90 minutes on the exercise bike
60 minutes doing work-related stuff at home
60 minutes working on my writing
I don't care what I spend my time doing for the third task - actually writing, outlining, reading about writing, scrolling through the community feed, etc. - but I am parking myself in front of my writing tablet and I'm not leaving until that stopwatch hits 60 minutes. I can do whatever the heck I want with the rest of my night once I complete my three tasks.
