*Idea*Block Passcode for Book Entries
by ruwth

The StoryMaster,

This morning I wanted to visit "NZ Foods by Elle - on hiatus . Elle was running a Newsfeed activity in which we were invited to check out her list of New Zealand foods.

Her link looked like this:

"NZ Foods

I clicked on her link and a page appeared with the message:

Access to this item has been blocked by your Content Blocking preference.

Override your block and access this area by entering your personal Content Blocking Passcode::

I entered my Blocking Passcode but it did not work. Since I have been down this path before, I knew what I needed to do:

1. I checked the web address and confirmed it was an entry in a book item.

2. I copied the entry ID from the web address.

3. I opened My Notepad and posted {f-entry:1048306}

4. I viewed My Notepad page and saw NZ Foods from The Road To Elle .

5. I clicked on the title of the book and again saw the message:

Access to this item has been blocked by your Content Blocking preference.

Override your block and access this area by entering your personal Content Blocking Passcode::

6. I entered my Blocking Passcode and this time I was given access to "The Road To Elle.

7. I finally scrolled down to "NZ Foods and was able to read her entry.

That is a long round-about way to be able to read a book entry. I have done it many times. I do not care to see GC or XGC content but alot of folks set their book items to GC when they don't really need to. When I "know" the person, I will take a chance and visit their book/blog. One time, it was a mistake I may never fully recover from but usually (like today) it was fine. I am now wanting to try New Zealand's Ginger slice (also known as ginger crunch)... *Laugh*

In the future, I would really like to be able to enter my Blocking Passcode and go directly to the entry. StoryMaster, can you make that happen?

I am not sure how hard it would be but I would be delighted if you could grant this wish!

I hope you are doing well. You are in my thoughts and prayers. *Heart*
