To answer your first question, a 3 page piece roughly translates to 1,500 - 2,500 words. If it's a little more that's fine. As judges, we feared trying to read and review 10-20 twenty plus page mini-novels. If it spills onto a fourth printed page, we won't fault you.
As for your second question, you can either submit the entire story as a post (like you submitted your question) or, if you created a story in your portfolio, you can create a post with a link to your story called a bitem (short for Big item). To do that, enter
Invalid Item This item number is not valid. # by Not Available.
replace the ###### with your Stories ID number. Still confused? Worst case scenario, post a message that says I wrote a story called Whatever and it's in my portfolio. We'll find it.
