Acid Tongued

I was disturbed, not only by all those things Davy pointed out, but by the strange reasoning that the forum espoused, "Love writing.com or leave it! You're for us or against us!"

Hmm...I didn't get that impression. Haizey simply said, if you love Writing.Com, you can say why here. It's pretty much like the testimonials. What individual people have chosen to say may be a different matter, but I don't see anything wrong with the forum itself. She's not saying, "If you don't want to sign this, you're a horrible, ungrateful person!"

It's not really a "petition." It's not like any action is going to be taken because all these people are sharing their positive feelings about the website. It's just someone's response to an actual petition. As I said, I don't know the details behind that situation, but I know that SM and SMs do all they can to prevent harrassment and discrimination on here, so it makes me wonder.

That's completely true. I've paid for two year-long Upgraded Memberships so far. Why would I pay to come to a place I hate?

It wasn't necessary for me to sign the "petition" to show that I love Writing.Com. I just wanted to reemphasize what this place means to me, because SM and SMs do take a lot of crap from people.
