WELCOME TO FALL!

A peaceful hush echoes as
Laughter of summer fades; deafening rush calms.
Genius of autumn dauntlessly cascades.
Serenity.

The light show begins ...
Utopian enrapture,
Spectacular display of nature's brilliance.
Breathtaking.

Leisurely, earth paints her canvas
From splendid palette of
Golden, scarlet and pumpkin hues.
Vibrant.

The wind briskly whispers through trees,
Effacing memories of season past.
The whisper becomes a howl.
Demanding.

Blotches of color succumb;
Whirled away,
Twirling wildly to earth's floor.
Scattered.

Daylight whimpers, rendering herself
Less visible; darkness prevails.
Golden goddess sabotaged.
Paling.

Warmth, violated by crisp fingers of embryo shadows,
Berate her passion, her energy,
Till no longer can she linger.
Chilling.

Demise of perfumed petals as
Melodious rustling heralds the
Rebirth of nature's imagination.
Miraculous.
