Works penned by writers that inspire, entertain, and/or resonate with readers
Haven't we as writers dreamed of penning such an incredible opening line:

All happy families resemble on another, each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way. Leo Tolstoy

And I'm sure all of us have literacy quotes that resonate with our psyche.

They who dream by day are recognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night. Edgar Allen Poe

A man of genius makes no mistakes. His errors are volitional and are the portals of discovery.  James Joyce

I can't help thinking this quote from James Joyce was the inspiration for Robbie Robertson's lyrics from What About Now:
The errors of a wiseman
Make the rules for a fool.

And let's not forget enduring phrases penned by writers in film and television:

From Seinfeld

Jerry: But the question is, are you still the master of your domain
Elaine: So, you think you're sponge-worthy?

"I'll be back!" The Terminator

And please forgive me, but in creating this In and Out, I've never forgotten this line from Stanley Kubrick's  A Clockwork Orange;

No time for the old in-out love, I've just come to read the meter.

As writers, don't we all hope to pen such memorable sentences, lines, lyrics, and quips that will endure in our readers' minds? To inspire our fellow writers, please post some of your favorites- open to all genre, just keep them acceptable to all readers.
