We the Linguaphiles of Writing.Com believe in the self-evidence that all sounds, words, and languages are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creators and Speakers, with certain unalienable Charms. Among these Charms are Euphony, Liason, and an alphabet of Romantic or Pictographic display.

In an attempt to form a nearly-perfect Union, we Linguaphiles do establish this group for the purposes of exploring, learning about, being fascinated with, laughing and smiling about, joking around with, and obsessively adoring (among other things) all aspects of sounds, words, and languages including but not limited to Etymology, Origin, Production, Appearance, and Tone.

That said, let the appreciation of all things integral to writing excellent prose and verse begin!

Welcome to a group solely created solely for playing with the smallest units of writing and speech. It’s like Kindergarten all over again with games to fuel the creative brain while increasing vocabulary and promoting multiculturalism in a globalizing world.
